Sustainable Wedding Flowers in Cheshire: Natural, Seasonal, and Personal Floristry

Over the past few years, I’ve noticed something quietly shifting in the world of weddings. More and more couples are thinking carefully about the planet — where their flowers come from, what’s in season, and how their choices reflect their values. There’s a growing appreciation for locally grown flowers and for working with what nature is already offering, and it is such a joy to be part of that change.

For me, growing flowers on my own patch felt like a natural step. I’ve always loved nature, but I wanted to deepen that connection and root my work more closely in the landscape around us. Seeing flowers move from field to wedding day makes the whole process feel more meaningful and grounded.

I’m an inquisitive person by nature, so exploring horticulture has been fascinating. I’ve learnt more long Latin plant names than I’ll ever remember, but what matters most isn’t the terminology — it’s the connection. Being able to bring people closer to seasonal flowers and the natural world is a huge part of why I do what I do.

Wedding style itself is moving this way too. Flowers are becoming looser, more textural, and more expressive — less staged, more poetic. Rather than strict colour themes, we tend to work with palettes that reflect mood, season, and place. The result feels more personal, more atmospheric, and truly reflective of the couple.

When I work with people, my focus is always on understanding who they are and what feels natural to them. From there, the flowers tend to take shape in a way that feels authentic rather than formulaic.

If this approach resonates with you and you’re planning a wedding in Cheshire or nearby, I’d love to hear from you and talk about your ideas.
